Peptide COA lookup workflow
Search by exact identity and lot—not by product name alone
A useful peptide COA lookup starts with the exact seller record and expected lot. Search the seller or named issuer's current documentation using the literal material identity, labeled quantity or concentration, format, lot or batch identifier and report ID. If the listing does not expose a lot number or linked report, request those fields before approving the order rather than treating a general document as a match.
- Capture the source record.Save the exact product title, seller handle or SKU, labeled quantity, format, current price and availability.
- Search the named source.Use the seller's documentation directory or the issuing laboratory named on the report. Record the URL and access date.
- Match identity and quantity.Require the same material naming, labeled basis and physical format; similar names or strengths are separate records.
- Match the lot.Reconcile the report lot or batch identifier with the expected shipment or received label. A prior-lot file is not a current-lot match.
- Record the outcome.Mark each field matched or unresolved, preserve the report ID and escalate gaps before purchasing.

What does a peptide COA look like?
A useful certificate of analysis is a traceable report, not just a purity number or a supplier logo. Layouts vary, but a reviewable document should let a qualified buyer identify the material and lot, see which method addressed which property, read the result with its units and basis, and identify the issuing source and report record.

A result for one submitted lot does not automatically establish every current lot, identity by every method, sterility, endotoxin status, GMP status, clinical suitability, safety, efficacy or regulatory approval. Record absent fields as unknown rather than filling them by inference.
4. Preserve the procurement record
Save the document URL or file, capture date, exact SKU, lot match, methods, reported results, reviewer, open questions and approval decision. Re-check after receiving the material; do not assume the pre-order document matches the delivered lot.
